First progress meeting of DURABLE was held from the 16th to the 17th of October at LORTEK premises in Ordizia (Spain). Main discussion topics during the meeting were the progress of the joint mapping of technologies and expected needs for O&M; in solar and wind energy, and the adaptation of these technologies for navigation and surveillance on the one hand, and for maintenance and repair on the other hand.
Representatives of 11 project partners participated in the plenary meeting, namely ESTIA (France), Alerion (Spain), CATEC (Spain), Basque Energy Cluster (Spain), CTA(Spain), EDP (Spain), Lortek (Spain), Ingeteam (Spain), IST (Lisboa), and US (Spain). Valemo (France) joined the meeting via teleconference.
The meeting took two full days, which gave rise to fruitful discussions for the development of the project.
The meeting started with the presentations of the three new partners (EDP, Ingeteam and Valemo), who presented their companies, roles, and their contribution to the project.
The progress on the joint mapping of technologies and needs was mainly discussed during the first day of the meeting, while the second day of the meeting was focused on the possible adaptation of these technologies. The partners took the opportunity to openly discuss and contribute to the improvement of the deployment of this task.
Next consortium meeting will take place in Seville, hosted by CTA the 5 and 6 of March 2020.
