The second project plenary meeting was held from the 5th to the 6th of March in Seville, hosted by FADA-CATEC.
The meeting lasted two full days and it was an occasion to continue with the alignment among all technical work packages.
The first day was more foccused on the pogress on selection of robotic and aerospace technologies with potential application to necessities of O&M of solar and wind farm operators. As an output of this progress, the DURABLE CONSORTUIM in cooperation with regional nodes of the EEN, have organized “Durable Forums on robotic and aeronautic technologies for solar and wind energy O& M activities ”, as framework of exchange demands and technology offers, for inspection and maintenance of solar and wind infrastructures.
The forums will be divided into two main activities:
- 3 online technical meetings between energy companies and technology providers
- Virtual B2B meetings between technology providers of DURABLE consortium and end users, where both sides can analyze and assess real needs
The second day was specifically arranged to discuss technical issues in detail by a group of the partners involved and to speed up progress in the development of the adaptation of technologies for navigation and surveillance as well as for maintenance and repair.
Another issue to be addressed in this meeting was also the preparation and organisation of the "initial event", which is one of the key milestones of the project. It was agreed that this event will be held togehter with the third progress meeting around September. Place and exact date to be determined in the following dates.
Finally, the consortium members took the oportunity to visit FADA-CATEC premises, getting to know their development in technological solutions and applications with UAS and aerial robotics, as well as their NDT expertise for inspection in multiple sectors.
