"The renewable energy sector is growing in all areas and technology is gaining more and more weight. LORTEK is taking part in the European Union's Sustainable project and using drones in wind turbine maintenance" (Ekosfera, Basque radio programme)

The program was broadcast last September 3 and Miriam Garcia and Eider Gorostegui from LORTEK presented the project and its main goals.

"One of the main goals of DURABLE is to reduce Operation & Maintenance costs, and one of the biggest innovations of this project is to combine the aerospace and robotics sector technology with composite and additive manufacturing technology, thus providing a comprehensive response" tells Miriam.

"DURABLE started in April 2019 and LORTEK is working in two main areas: on the one hand in non-destructive testing (NDT) techniques, and on the other hand in the adaptation of automated inspections using drones and robots for surveillance" follows Eider.
