The workshop "Aerospace and robotic technologies for the solar energy sector" will demonstrate on Wednesday, July 20 to the industry of Lisbon new robotic and aerospace technologies and concepts with potential application to Operation & Maintenance tasks focused on solar energy

REGISTRATION

This is a singular event focused on novel technologies linked to aerial inspection and manipulation of wind and solar farms, additive manufacturing, non-destructive testing, remote control or augmented reality, which allows improving operation and maintenance technologies and increasing the efficiency and uptime of wind and solar farms. The workshop, organized by the Basque Energy Cluster, EDP NEW and Instituto Superior Técnico (IST) in collaboration with DURABLE partners, will be held on July 20th at 12:30 a.m. and it will take place at the Sheraton Lisboa Hotel & Spa.

This workshop will show onsite demonstrations of novel technologies developed in DURABLE, a collaborative European R&D project in which 12 partners have demonstrated improvements such as the automation of inspection and repair tasks or the rapid replacement of parts, reducing costs and improving the productivity of the new wind and solar plants. During the workshop, key technology partners will present their contributions to the project's outcome and they will share the latest knowledge and trends in the sector, focusing mostly in solar energy. As an additional opportunity, these partners will also be reachable for B2B meetings right after their presentations, which allows to generate business contacts and partnerships with the key technology partners of DURABLE. For more information about the technologies considered and their current level of development, you can refer to the technology booklet.
